Milan, December 9 2019 – Sogefi S.p.A. announces that its Board of Directors, which met today, has accepted the resignation of Laurent Hebenstreit from the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
The Board has co-opted Mauro Fenzi to be the new Chief Executive Officer of Sogefi.
Fenzi, 58, with a degree in mechanical engineering from the Milan Politecnico, has a long international experience in the automotive sector, particularly in the field of industrial automation and robotics. From 2014 until today he was CEO of Comau (FCA Group), where he had held various positions of responsibility since 2001. Previously he had held important positions in other companies (Tecnospazio and John Crane International).
Fenzi will be meeting his new challenge on the strength of his deep knowledge of the automotive market and of the technological changes taking place in the market, of his significant international profile and his considerable competence in manufacturing.
After four and a half years at the operational helm of Sogefi, Laurent Hebenstreit has decided to follow a new direction in his professional life. The Board expressed its appreciation of his professionalism and commitment to the Company and wishes him every success in his future career.
Sogefi, the automotive components company of the CIR group, is a world leader in suspension and filter components and air and cooling systems, with approximately 6,700 employees and 41 production sites in 23 countries. In 2018 the company reported revenues of over 1.6 billion euro.
