New appointments in Espresso Group

Daniela Hamaui, who since March 2002 has been editor of L’Espresso magazine, will be appointed – to start on August 2nd, 2010 – editorial manager of Repubblica, Il Venerdì, D, XL and Velvet, under the editorship of Ezio Mauro. She will be also in charge of the editorial supervision of the monthly magazines National Geographic Italia, Le Scienze and Mente e Cervello, as well as of developing new projects. Daniela Hamaui conceived and launched D, the women’s supplement of Repubblica, and still one of most successful editorial products in this sector. She has subsequently directed L’Espresso for five years, enhancing its prestige and importance.

The Board of Directors to be convened on July 20th, 2010 shall be submitted a proposal to appoint Bruno Manfellotto, present editorial manager of the local daily newspapers, as new editor of L’Espresso. Bruno Manfellotto approaches this new assignment having built up his own long-established and qualified experience first as deputy director of L’Espresso and subsequently – in the Group’s local daily newspapers – as highly appreciated editor of La Gazzetta di Mantova and Il Tirreno.

Luigi Vicinanza, present editor of the local daily newspaper Il Centro, is going to be appointed to substitute Bruno Manfellotto as editorial manager of the local daily newspapers. Luigi Vicinanza has been working with Repubblica for many years, during which he has also been newseditor of the Naples editorial office. He has subsequently been editor of Città di Salerno and is currently editor of Il Centro di Pescara.
