CIR and F2i complete the purchase of 46.7% of KOS from Ardian


Milan, May 17 2016 – CIR-Compagnie Industriali Riunite S.p.A. and F2i Healthcare, a company controlled by the F2i Second Fund, have today completed the purchase from Ardian for € 292 million of 46.7% of KOS, the company of the CIR group that is one of the main national operators in the healthcare and care-home sector. The deal had been announced on March 16 2016.

More specifically, F2i Healthcare has purchased an interest in KOS from Ardian for € 240 million, while CIR has bought the remaining part for € 52 million. At the same time, CIR also bought the remaining interests from management and other minority shareholders for € 33 million. As of today, therefore, the shareholding structure of KOS consists of CIR with 62.7% and F2i Healthcare with 37.3%.
