CIR: drinking flasks for employees to help the environment
To encourage the elimination of single use plastic bottles, CIR has placed water coolers, with micro-filters and recyclable water tanks, in the shared areas of its headquarters in Via Ciovassino and provided each employee with a steel drinking flask. This initiative, which is just one of the group’s sustainability actions, aims in particular to reduce waste and the use disposable plastic in the office.
The invitiation to employees to cooperate on environmental matters is part of a series of initiatives already under way at the company level. In 2019, electrical and mechanical infrastructure and fittings were completely renovated: for example, lighting systems with LED bulbs were installed to reduce electricity consumption, as were thermostats to automatically regulate room temperature and so avoid energy wastage.
