Rodolfo De Benedetti (Turin, 1961) has been Chairman of CIR since April 2013. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Sogefi.
Rodolfo De Benedetti graduated in Political Economy in 1982 and in Law in 1985 from the University of Geneva.
From September 1985 to December 1986, he worked with Lombard Odier, a private banking group based in Geneva, as Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, and from January 1987 to January 1988 with Shearson Lehman Brothers (New York) as an Associate.
He joined COFIDE in 1988 as Director of International Affairs; he later served as General Manager of CIR and COFIDE and, from the 1990s, as Chief Executive Officer of both companies.
In 2013, he became Chairman.
He is a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors of Decalia S.A.
He is a director of Varia Swiss Realtech Properties.
He is also a member of ERT (European Round Table for Industry) and Chairman of the European Advisory Board of Harvard Business School. .
