Milano, 11 December 2013 – Regarding the unconfirmed reports published in today’s papers, CIR SpA confirms that it has indeed brought a lawsuit before the Milan Court of Law against Fininvest SpA for non-patrimonial damage suffered in the Lodo Mondadori affair. The case is the natural consequence of the Cassation ruling of September 2013 which, confirming the previous decision of both the Milan Court and the Court of Appeal, ascertained CIR’s right to compensation even for non-patrimonial damage, postponing the settlement of this to a new civil court decision. CIR has quantified the damage suffered as approximately 30 million euro.
